Significant Life Changes

I'm sitting here thinking about a series of trainings that I offer (Behavioral Communication Training for staff). In one of them, I talk about how significant life changes can affect a client's behavior. My significant life change is that I just lost my job after 14 years with HCAR.

Bummer, man!

My whole program, Horizon Resources, has been closed for good. We suffered from lack of support from our Regional Center and state budgets in general. For all the talk of 100% community based programs, our Regional Center didn't really want that after all.

Well, we gave it a good shot and our clients sure enjoyed the program while it lasted.

Now I have more time to market my SNAP Curriculum and to develop the training series I have been teaching for HCAR. I am re-writing the series and making it my own. When I have completely updated it, I will let you know.

In the meantime, I will deal with not going to an office and working with clients directly. Not having an income and losing health benefits will be different, too. I'm used to both of those things. I would consider this a significant life change.

I wonder if my behavior will be affected?
