Book Ranking

I just checked Amazon.com and my book "How to Teach Daily Living Skills to Adults with Developmental Disabilities" is ranked at 357, 245. Only 357, 244 more and I will be #1! I am on my way! I can feel it... I am "this" close.

I only mention it because I know a few books are selling on Amazon, which is VERY fulfilling personally. And I don't mean the money. I mean that is a great feeling that people are reading my book and hopefully getting something out of it and telling other people about it.

Same with the SNAP Curriculum. We (the agency I work for) has now sold more than 80 sets of curriculum across the states, in Canada and Ireland. This means that more and more agencies are using the material to support the adults enrolled in their programs. Again, this is VERY personally fulfilling.

The program I direct became 100% community based last July. We recently did a survey and discovered the biggest complaint our clients have is that they can no longer all get together in a big group (we only have about 20 individuals enrolled in our program) in the mornings for socialization. Of course, that is the point of 100% community based programs - to prevent segregation... the grouping people together... like a senior center...

The good news is, our SNAP Curriculum is as relevant now as it was when we were a facility based program. That was the original point anyway. Skills are best learned where they will be used.

Thank you.
